Time and Place, a Talk with My Mom
Documentary ’35
During the 1950s an artist’s family moves into an unheeded canal house in Amsterdam. After an abrupt divorce from her husband, the mother has to raise four young children on her own. In the fifty years that the family inhabits the house, many alterations come to the mother, the house, the neighbourhood and her four children. Those changes are put on screen in a visually unorthodox fashion. In the end, not everything will be as ‘real’ as expected.
