In de zomer van 1998 neemt de zieke Lenny (52) zijn geadopteerde zoon Kyu (12) mee op een roadtrip naar Marseille voor de WK-wedstrijd Nederland – Zuid-Korea. Een reis langs de Route du Soleil die verandert in een confrontatie met afkomst, afscheid en wat het betekent vader en zoon te zijn.

In the summer of 1998, the sick Lenny (52) takes his adopted son Kyu (12) on a road trip to Marseille for the World Cup soccer match between the Netherlands and South Korea. A journey along the Route du Soleil that turns into a confrontation with origins, farewells, and what it means to be father and son.
